ASU has the proven capacity to understand complexity, innovate, and develop actionable solutions necessary to positively transform Earth’s systems. The Center will leverage Global Futures Laboratory, a global research institute focused on the future of our planet, at a scale unmatched by any other university or research setting.

Global Futures Laboratory
Arizona State University Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory is the world’s first comprehensive laboratory empowering visionary leaders to unite and create bold actionable ideas for a more prosperous, equitable and resilient planetary future through opportunity, not sacrifice. The Center’s cornerstone projects
To reduce waste, and stimulate sustainable local circular economies, the Center will engage partners and local communities to co-design, test, and evaluate strategies for stores and sets of stores.
Build out and open source the Greener Stores program to inspire others to design, build and operate sustainable portfolios of green buildings.
Food & Wellness
Leveraging test stores, the Center will explore alternative menu items, including plant-based offerings, which empower customers to make healthy choices that promote wellbeing and sustainability.
The Center will leverage the Third Place as a catalyst for community betterment at the local and national levels, and to explore opportunities globally.
