Ambition meets opportunity

The Starbucks College Achievement Plan (SCAP) is committed to expanding pathways to help people succeed while removing the tuition barriers that may block the path to higher education attainment. Launched in 2014, the Starbucks College Achievement Plan is a first-of-its-kind corporate/public university partnership that offers an innovative model for education access.

Pathway to Admission

6,000+ partners have leveraged Pathway to Admission, a program that creates an opportunity for those who initially do not qualify for college admission. Eligible partners can take up to 10 ASU courses with credit conversion costs fully covered. When completed successfully, the partner may be admitted into ASU and continue with the Starbucks College Achievement Plan.

A path for veterans and military families

More than 300 military and veteran partners are SCAP alums and 550+ are participating in SCAP. Starbucks is the only employer that offers an extended education benefit to military family members.

Unique career development

Partners have opportunities to participate in internships and fellowships, enroll in industry-relevant courses, and study abroad around the world - including at Starbucks coffee farm, Hacienda Alsacia, in Costa Rica. Through these experiences, scholars apply their academic learning to real-world projects, gaining valuable skills and mentorship.

The Honors Experience

Academically outstanding SCAP scholars are invited to customize their experience with honors curriculum through Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University, one of the top honors colleges in the country.
